Arlington residents take pride in their community and participate in a number of community events throughout the year, including the annual Christmas Parade, Veteran’s Day and Memorial Day celebrations, Arlington in April, Fireworks Spectacular, and BBQ FallFest.  Arlington’s location at the crossroads of I-40 and TN-385/I-69 allows Arlington residents to easily access the amenities of Memphis and Shelby County.

AMENITIES

Greenspace: 68+ acres of parks within the Town, including four neighborhood parks, three community parks and Arlington’s Sports Complex.  The complex offers community athletic fields, including large soccer fields, youth soccer fields, and a dedicated football field, along with parking facilities.  Hughes-College Hill Park features a walking track with fitness stations, a community gazebo, and amphitheater.  In 2016, the Town purchased a 47-acre lot with a lake to create additional greenspace for residents.

Recreation and fitness: Stonebridge Golf Course is located in nearby Lakeland, TN and is a private 18-hole course. Locally owned gym LiveFit offers clients one-on-one personal training, group classes, and dietary advice on living an active, healthy lifestyle; Arlington also boasts A-Town Crossfit and ATC fitness gym.  For the kids, Youth Little League Baseball, Soccer, Football and Lacrosse are active every season in Arlington.

Shopping: Arlington offers small boutiques, specialty stores, and locally owned eateries, alongside various retail businesses and chain restaurants.  The Town is less than 5 miles north of the Wolfchase Galleria, the largest indoor shopping mall in Shelby County.  Shoppers enjoy 120 stores including Dillard’s and Macy’s as well as easy access to the first IKEA store in the State of Tennessee, just one mile south of the mall.

Nearby: Memphis Redbirds, Memphis Grizzlies, iconic Beale Street, Memphis Zoo, Shelby Farms, Greenline, and TN’s first IKEA.
